Andor brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. The most recent Star Wars project to be released is the prequel series to Rogue One featuring Cassian Andor (Diego Luna). Imperial forces are hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights while a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking form. Star Wars: Rebels (2014)Īnother animated project that doesn’t get the recognition it deserves is Star Wars: Rebels. This series is probably the most linked to The Bad Batch. Beginning fourteen years after the Revenge of the Sith and five years before A New Hope, Rebels takes place during an era when the Galactic Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy. It had wonderful character arcs and the animation was a step forward for the Star Wars franchise. When this series ended, there was not a dry eye anywhere. Meanwhile, Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi lead the clone army against the forces of the Dark Side. Plotting against them is evil Count Dooku and his agent, Asajj Ventress, who would ensure that the Jedis fail.

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The travels of a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic. They wanted him to get a spin-off so badly, and he finally got one - Book of Boba Fett.
